Mindworks is a charity that emerged from Greenpeace East Asia, focusing on using cognitive and social science to help organisations implement effective campaigns during crises. They have developed tools like the Time To Talk platform and The Anger & Agency Monitor for emotional mapping. Mindworks is based in Hong Kong but collaborates globally.

Data Analyst Position

Location: Remote (Asia/Europe preferred, Americas considered if you can work some overlapping hours)

Type: One-Year Contract (with a possibility of extension)

Reports To: Executive Director / Co-Leads

Salary: Based on fixed geography scale (e.g., France: 45k Euros)

Role Objectives:

• Design and analyse quantitative and qualitative research

• Translate survey data into actionable insights

• Provide tangible recommendations for clients based on insights

• Program and use analytic tools to automate processes

Responsibilities:

• Regularly improve the Anger and Agency Monitor survey

• Design and implement crisis-related surveys

• Improve tools monitoring climate change resilience and denial

• Conduct agile research to understand the changing psychosocial environment

• Respond to client requests with tailored research

• Enhance audience empathy through data insights

Required Skills:

Programming: Python (Pandas, Numpy)

Data Visualization: Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau

Statistical Analysis: Statistical tests, regression analysis

Machine Learning: Basic algorithms

Data Preprocessing: Cleaning and preparing datasets

Communication: Proficient in English, translating results into recommendations

Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Prioritisation, decision-making, ethical diligence
