:sparkles: They are on a mission to ignite innovation and empower youth through their Social Innovation for Youth (SIFY) program. Their goal is to establish virtual makerspaces in partner universities across India, where students can learn emerging technologies and work on their start-up ideas. By the end of the program, they aim to help students build a minimum viable product (MVP) and take it to market. The most promising ideas receive seed funding and incubation support. With the guidance of in-house mentors and industry experts, students experience the thrilling journey from idea to incubation. Over the past five years, this program has already created 30+ high-potential start-ups and impacted over 10,000 students through digital outreach.

:fire: Exciting Opportunity: Software Maker Expert (Technical Mentor - Full Stack and IoT) :fire:

:star2: They are looking for an exceptional Software Maker Expert to join their dynamic team. As a mentor in their virtual makerspaces, you will play a crucial role in guiding and inspiring the student community. With your expertise in full-stack development, IoT, and more, you will support students in transforming their ideas into tangible prototypes and MVPs. By fostering creativity and providing hands-on mentorship, you will help unleash the potential of these aspiring innovators.

:computer: Key Responsibilities :bulb:

:rocket: Mentoring & Support :rocket:

  • Provide guidance and support to the student community through video conferences and online forums
  • Foster creativity by showing genuine interest in their ideas and helping them define minimum viable prototypes
  • Serve as a hands-on mentor, assisting students in building their MVPs
  • Mentor participants for presentation at the demo day

:globe_with_meridians: Collaboration & Operations :globe_with_meridians:

  • Maintain communication with makerspace managers across India, addressing operational and technical challenges
  • Evaluate the feasibility and quality of teams at different stages of the program and approve prototyping expenses
  • Manage the program’s web platform, working with technology analysts and vendors
  • Identify industry experts for workshops and coordinate events with Innovation Managers

:mag: Research & Innovation :mag:

  • Stay updated with the latest trends and emerging technologies
  • Conduct research to identify new areas for program integration
  • Review software course content on the thingQbator portal

:star2: Additional Remarks :star2:

  • Salary as per experience and organizational norms
  • Consultant agreement contract until March 2024, with potential for extension based on performance and program renewal
