Job Opportunity: Technical Support Manager

Location: Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India
Eligibility: Open only to permanent residents of India.

Job Purpose

As the Technical Support Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless IT support for IRRI’s global workforce. You will manage and maintain IRRI’s IT infrastructure, support systems, and ensure robust communication and reporting mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Global IT Support Management: Oversee network availability, maintenance, monitoring, and security. Manage device and A/V management, and level 1 and level 2 global help desk operations.
  • Network Health Monitoring: Ensure endpoint management, patch management, asset management, network functionality, and security.
  • Event Support: Manage the quality of internal and external events, ensuring all necessary A/V equipment and user training/support are in place.
  • Incident Management: Handle all incident management tickets, follow-up communications, and reporting.
  • Security Protocols: Align with IRRI HQ IT Support Services to ensure proper security monitoring, protocols, and training.
  • Team Leadership: Lead regional technical support teams, ensuring effective application access, device maintenance, and ERP support.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Establish close relationships with CSSMs and other key stakeholders to communicate IKS support services effectively.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or any engineering discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in network and device security management.
  • Skills:
    • Mandatory: Strong communication skills in English, stakeholder management, people and project management.
    • Preferred: Reporting/data analytics experience, project management certifications, team-building experience, familiarity with data collection tools and processes.

Allowances and Benefits

  • House-Rent Allowance: 40% of base pay per month.
  • Transport Allowance: INR 5,000 per month.
  • Dearness Allowance: 113% of base pay.
  • Leave Travel Allowance (LTA): One-month base pay per annum.
  • Education Allowance: INR 1,000 per child per month (up to 2 children).
