About the Project

iDEFEAT TB - Institutional Strengthening to Accelerate Actions for TB and Drug Resistant TB in India is USAID’s flagship TB project in India. The project aims to strengthen TB-related institutions focusing on programmatic and clinical management of patients with TB and DR-TB, contributing to India’s National Strategic Plan and the targets set at the United Nations High-Level Meeting on TB. iDEFEAT TB is implemented by The Union-led consortium of partners.

The Position

Data Analyst will be responsible for data management, analysis, and interpretation for meaningful insights. The position will support data analysis plans, data extraction, analysis, and synthesis of results.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor recording and reporting using Nikshay.
  • Support the Central TB Division in managing data from Nikshay and other sources, including validation, analysis, and application.
  • Prepare and issue action-oriented feedback to laboratories.
  • Lead data analysis based on available laboratory data, conducting in-depth analysis and interpretation.
  • Create data models to support monitoring.
  • Ensure data accuracy by developing and adhering to data quality protocols.
  • Interpret results to improve data use by stakeholders.
  • Maintain data confidentiality and privacy.
  • Submit monthly and end-of-assignment reports on activities performed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related analytics field with 5 years of experience in public health data.
  • Experience in building dashboards, templates for program performance review, and developing performance indicators, data collection, and analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with data processing and analysis software (SPSS/STATA/Epi info).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience in developing study frameworks and data analysis plans.
  • Preferred experience in assisting with study implementation, analysis, interpretation of results, and documentation.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Experience in Tuberculosis programs is desirable.

Compensation:
